Health! Lifestyle changes to improve your wellbeing in 2019
How healthy were you in 2018? Do you feel a need to make some healthy changes to your diet and lifestyle? We have compiled a list of 5 things that you may want to try out in 2019 to take your health to the next level.
1) Intermittent fasting for health
We have all heard that fasting is good for your health. Jesus, Buddha and even Prophet Mohammad were all known to fast. People think that fasting is just a quick way to lose weight. Well, it actually is but there is so much more to it. Losing weight is the bottom of the list of benefits. The main reason to fast is to give your body a break from digesting so that it can focus on healing. Yes the body does heal itself. When you fall and graze your knee you do not bleed forever, in fact within a few minutes the bleeding stops. By the following day you probably have a scab and eventually a small scar remains after the healing process.
Likewise with internal organs, they can also heal themselves. If you do a 4 day water fast, doctors have discovered that by day 3 your body starts to kill off unwanted cells. Our body literally starts to repair itself. Your body can also focus on other things like hair growth and skin repair.
The good news is that you don’t have to fast for days at a time to reap the benefits. Intermittent fasting will still produce pretty amazing results for skin, hair and weight regulation. The idea is that you only eat during certain times of the day and the rest of the time you fast. Typically you would eat your first meal at 12pm and your last no later than 8pm. There is so much to learn about intermittent fasting that it is best to do some of your own research before adapting to this lifestyle.
2) Eliminating animal products from your diet for health
Are you suffering from illnesses such as digestive issues, bloating, diarreah, constipation, haemorrhoids, acne, knee and joint pain? Try cutting out meat products including dairy. You should see great improvement within a week! Approximately 70% of the human population is lactose intolerant in adulthood and in some parts of the world it is affecting more than 90% of adults! Cow milk is after all for baby cows!
It is also believed that the suffering that animals go through is transferred to human DNA which would explain why some people suffer from inexplicable anger and anxiety. Nowadays animals are bred chemically in bulk and are kept under unnatural conditions – packed together in small cages just to be killed and turned into bacon, burgers, eggs, and yogurt.
Can you imagine the state of the animals being kept under these conditions? Can you also imagine the fear and anger they may have? What about the hormones that are injected into them for mass breeding? All of this is going into your system and DNA. You may not want to stop eating meat immediately but do try cutting down by consuming it maybe once or twice a week. You will most certainly see a drastic improvement in your health.
